You can make this recipe with the following Zerda pasta:

Ingredients

  • 500g of Zerda® Rechta pasta
  • Chicken thighs
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 handful of soaked chickpeas
  • 2 turnips cut into pieces
  • 1 zucchini
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1:

In a couscous pot, preparer the sauce by browning the chicken and chopped onion in oil. Add the cinnamon stick, salt and pepper

Step 2:

Add the turnips, zucchini, and chickpeas and sauté for 5 minutes. Add 1.5l of hot water. Cook over medium heat for fifty minutes with a cover on.

Step 3:

Pour the Rechta into a large bowl and separate the pasta strands by adding a little oil.

Step 4:

Steam the Rechta for 20 minutes by placing it in the upper part of the couscous pot.

Step 5:

Take the Rechta out. Transfer the pasta to the bowl, mix again with a knob of butter or a little oil and 100 ml of hot water, gradually. Mix until the water is completely absorbed.

Step 6:

Return the Rechta to cooking for an additional 20 minutes

Step 7:

Once the sauce is ready, remove the chicken thighs and vegetables and season the pasta as needed. Serve by starting with the Rechta, then the chicken and vegetables. Drizzle generously with sauce.
